Dr. Trevor J. Laborda received his medical degree from the State University of New York Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, New York. He completed his General Pediatrics residency at the University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School and completed his Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition fellowship at the University of Utah/Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, UT. Dr. Laborda additionally completed a combined adult/pediatric postdoctoral Advanced Endoscopy fellowship through Baylor College of Medicine in affiliation with the Children’s Hospital of San Antonio and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, TX. Dr. Laborda is board certified in Pediatrics and is board certified in Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition.

Dr. Laborda is currently an Assistant Professor of Pediatric Gastroenterology at the University of Utah. He was brought into the division to provide expertise in endoscopic and clinical management of patients with complex hepatobiliary, pancreatic and luminal diseases. He is developing the Primary Children’s Hospital Interventioanl Endoscopy Program which will provide continuity of care for these patients. He practices in the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition at Primary Children’s Hospital. Dr. Laborda specializes in advanced endoscopic procedures including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), luminal stenting, luminal dilations enteroscopy, management of luminal vascular malformations and endoscopic mucosal resection.
